Dive into your imagination

Think of a quirky maze with three circular rose hedgelike doors leading in three directions. You ponder which choice to make and you choose the right one. You step through, it closes behind you and soon you are walking along a petal strewn path into a realm of new possibilities.

As you step through into the light there is a curious site before you. An impressive metal valve lies upon the ground. You step forward, pick up the strange contraption and you wonder what you can do with it. A bizarre thought enters your mind and you imagine this device with wheels. You gasp as that reality takes shape, it would be an unusual kind of bike to ride.

A beetle gets your attention as it whispers by you and your imagination deigns this beast to become larger and to climb upon the bike with a baseball cap, red lipstick and a bag of fries and popcorn in its right hand as this insect becomes anthropomorphised. You finish the beetle off with a pair of ill fitting sunglasses. One final idea enters your mind and you wish the bike to fly, and voila a jet engine fits into the chassis along with a pair of subtle wings.

The above image is somewhat bonkers to say the least is it not? Yet it is in the depths of our imagination where we can create the most surreal and insane ideas. In our imagination all things are possible and all ideas no matter how crazy can be born. So often in our lives we are obliged to walk step by step in a linear fashion from one day to the next. If we step into the outré field we indulge the extremities of the possible and impossible.

Often those images are get are cryptic in the extreme, seldom are they a simple to the point of do this or that. When I think of what I got this morning it tells me that our imaginations are a wonderful tool that we don’t use enough.

Admittedly, the image of a beetle on a flying bike is hard to fathom. However, imagine if you were an innovator in the field of motorbikes/cars and your thoughts turn to large drones. What if you could outfit a drone like a motorbike and align it with a flying beetle. Suddenly, the beetlebike is born. Such a thing is not beyond the realms of possibility and do not be surprised to see this sight come into being by some boffin in the near future.
